From San Jose take Hwy 280 North, Exit Pacifica/ Mission St. Continue to the Left on South Hwy 1, the Pacific Ocean will be on your right. Continue to the first Stoplight (Reina Del Mar) U-turn at the light, continue North past the Gas Station, past the Pacifica Police Station,(all on the right) Shelldance entrance is on your Right. (3 minutes from the light) Right turn after the sign "Orchids" with an arrow pointing right. Continue up the winding road to main parking area with a terrific view of the Pacific Ocean. The drive is long but worth it when you enter the greenhouse and mingle with the exotic serenity of orchids. Approximate time 40 minutes

From Half Moon Bay take Hwy 1 North past Devils Slide Continue on Hwy 1 through Pacifica for 4 stoplights. Shelldance is on the right, North of the 4th light (Reina Del Mar) Past this light, past the Gas Station, past the Pacifica Police Station, (all on your right) Shelldance entrance is on your right. Right turn after the sign "Orchids" with an arrow pointing right. Continue up the winding road to main parking area. This is a scenic drive but the adventure starts when you enter the greenhouses and visit Paradise. Approximate time: 20 minutes.
